HELLO!
I am a surface pattern designer with a focus on playfully-elegant designs. I love to experiment with color, shape and linework to develop interesting components to build patterns with. With a past in interior design, stencil and rubber stamp design, and mixed media, my inspiration comes from a variety of places including nature, history, and random mark making.
In the early 2000's, I published "how-to" articles about fiber art in Quilting Arts Magazine and its sister publication Cloth Paper Scissors (no longer in publication) then was invited to film instructional DVDs and on-line webinars that were popular at the time. My focus was on developing personal imagery for use in fiber art and art journalling.
In 2010, I began designing craft stencils for use in mixed media art and helped launch the Joggles.com brand. I continued designing collections of stencils under my own brand at Joggles with unique rotational applications and repeat patterns and a small collection of rubber stamps.
In 2014, I exhibited with a group of 10 artists at Surtex International Licensing Tradeshow in NYC, learned a lot and discovered my passion for creating repeat patterns. My hand-drawn designs range in form from a smooth digital look and feel to a textured and messy look that develop from unexpected discoveries on paper. Through experimentation and play, my designs reflect a soft geometric and whimsical look and feel.
I would love to work with you to provide solutions for your design needs. E-mail me to get started!
